In the Protagonists' Cafe deep inside Kimber An's twisted imagination, she's tapping away on her groovy new mini-laptop with Brandon, a minor character from CRUSHED, looking over her shoulder.
.
"Hey!" Brandon points at the screen. "You just deleted the cafeteria scene! I was really good in that one!"
.
Kimber An releases a martyr's sigh. "It's not essential to the story and you're not the Hero.".
"But, I'm cute! The Goth Girls called me 'dangerously adorable."
.
Kimber An throws up her hands, which kinda hurts 'cause she's got tendonitis. "I promised you a sequel! Now, go away!"
.
Brandon folds her arms. "Only if you leave in the part with me pulling the brush-guard off the Villain's truck to distract him so the Heroine can get away."Kimber An groans. "Fine. Now, go play Nintendo or something." She watches smirk a little and amble away to see what Adrian, the Hero's doing. "Good grief." And she starts tapping on her keyboard again.

That was funny! Brandon sounds quite a character
Oh, he is. Bianca can't stand him. She's Ophelia's twin sister.
Seems like this stage of revision is when the story 'shakes down' to reveal just which secondary characters are vital.
I've got the main characters clear from the start, Adrian, Ophelia, and Martin the villain.
Then, there are the three secondary characters, Perdy (Adrian's much older sister,) Bianca, and Brandon. It's funny how each of the secondary characters defines one of the mains. They're each Thesis, Antithesis, and Synthesis themselves.
