Swine Flu and Breastfeeding

The Swine Flu swept through our whole, extended family here in Alaska last month and landed my sweet, beloved mother-in-law in the hospital. Thank God she's all right now. We would have been devestated and lost without her.
.
I was never more glad to be a breastfeeding mommy than when we all had the Swine Flu. Lil Bean received immunity to it from my breastmilk and never got sick at all.
.
So, if you know any pregnant or nursing mommies, help them and encourage them and be sweet and wonderful to them about nursing their babies, because it can be really hard for some mommies to do. If you can help them nurse even for a little while, you may help save a baby's life.

A very sweet picture of you both. I'm glad you're family are ok.

Thanks!

It didn't feel any worse than regular flu. I didn't take medicine for fear it would harm Lil Bean through my milk. After losing Angelica, I'm rather neurotic about my children's health and safety!
